Band

Mickey Lynnes - Drums/vocals

Mickey Lynnes is the only original member of The Thundermen still in the band from 1959!  He has been playing drums and singing with them from the beginning. His style of drumming is right out of the 50's and 60's, playing like drumming greats J.I. Allison of Buddy Holly and the Crickets and D.J. Fontanna, Elvis Presley's drummer, not to mention Ringo Starr. Mickey's singing abilities are just as great as his drumming. Mickey can sing a wide variety of songs, ranging from 50's rockabilly, 60's pop, and country. He is best known however for his excellent slow song vocals. Mickey can sing slow songs with the best of them. His singing is very reminicent of Bill Medley's with the Righteous Brothers. When not playing with The Thundermen, Mickey can be found doing his one man band show in the area or playing with Two Way Street.

John Trygstad - Keyboards/vocals

John Trygstad has been playing keyboard with The Thundermen since 1990. Before that he played with Mickey Lynnes and other former Thundermen in various bands during the 70's and 80's. John can wail on a piano like Jerry Lee Lewis or play great melodies on slow songs. John also has a singing voice to match his playing. John sings many favorites with The Thundermen, his most requested song being "Bread and Butter" by the Newbeats. He can sing high notes like Frankie Vallie of the Four Seasons. What makes John very unique is his ability to play bass and keyboard at the same time. John uses half of his keyboard for regular piano playing and the other half as a bass guitar.

Kalvin Lester - Guitar/vocals

Kalvin Lester is the most recent addition to the Thundermen line up, joinning the band in 1998. Before that, Kalvin was up in the northwoods of Wisconsin playing with various bands in the Hayward area. Kalvin brings that classic vintage guitar sound right out of the 50's. His style of playing is very much like all the great rockabilly guitarists of the day, such as Scotty Moore who played with Elvis, and Carl Perkins who played "Blue Suede Shoes". Kalvin's guitar solos bring energy to the music and his guitar sound helps round out the sound of The Thundermen. Kalvin also sings many rock n' roll and rockabilly numbers with the band. As Kalvin is the youngest member of the band, he is also brings in other musical influences of the late 60's and 70's era. Kalvin has helped expand the Thundermen song list to include songs by The Doors, CCR, Peter Frampton, and many other artists of that time.
